A Penny

A penny, it seems, won’t go too far
in this crazy mixed up world.
Its value is little more than,
one thousandth weight in gold.
but for me, I’ll take a penny,
all shiney or black with age.
For a penny is better than nothing,
when nothing is all you are paid.
